Brijshyam Kalakunj Kathak Kendra is a pure Indian classical Kathak dance school in Auckland. There are 4 branches of this school. Henderson, North Shore, Mt. Roskill and Flat Bush. Dancer and choreographer Prachi Purandare started this school in January 2020. She is a disciple of Mamta Maharaj (daughter of Legendary Kathak dancer Late Pt. Birju Maharaj). Currently more than 50 students are learning and performing pure classical dance form.
